Since 1996 when he became known across the world for his work in creating the first cloned mammal, Dolly the Sheep, Professor Sir Ian Wilmut has continued his work on the role of genetic mechanisms in human diseases and the use of stem cells in new treatments. In this lecture he will outline these exciting advances in medicine for the 21st century.

Sir Ian is Chair and Emeritus Professor at the Scottish Centre for Regenerative Medicine, Edinburgh University.
